Task goals
- Foundation: Convert between common capacity units (mL, L, kL) and read/convert simple 24-hour clock times, and calculate a straightforward density given whole-number mass and volume values.
- Proficient: Solve two-step problems that combine capacity conversions with density calculations (mass = density x volume, or volume = mass / density), and calculate speed, distance, or time using the distance/speed/time relationship.
- Excellence: Interpret and construct distance-time graphs to describe and compare varying speeds over a journey, and solve multi-step real-world problems that integrate capacity, density and time within a single context (e.g. a delivery tanker filling, transporting, and emptying liquid of a given density).
