Task goals
- Foundation: Complete a grouped frequency table by tallying a small raw data set into given equal-width class intervals.
- Proficient: Choose sensible equal-width class intervals for a larger raw data set, build the full grouped frequency table, and state the modal class.
- Excellence: Use midpoints of class intervals to estimate the mean of grouped data and explain how the choice of interval width affects the accuracy of that estimate.

Grouped Frequency Tables
Know
A distribution is formed from all the possible values of a variable and their frequencies. It can be shown using data visualisations that show patterns, trends, and variations and that include dot plots, bar graphs, frequency tables, box plots, histograms, time-series graphs, scatter plots, and two-way tables.
