Task goals
- Recall the GEMA/BEDMAS order of operations: Grouping (Brackets), Exponents (Indices), Multiplication and Division (left to right), Addition and Subtraction (left to right).
- Evaluate expressions with more than one operation by applying the correct order.
- Evaluate expressions containing brackets, working from the innermost bracket outward.
- Evaluate expressions containing indices/exponents in the correct order relative to other operations.
- Recognise that multiplication and division are evaluated left to right, not multiplication before division.
- Recognise that addition and subtraction are evaluated left to right, not addition before subtraction.
- Identify and correct a common GEMA/BEDMAS error in a worked solution.

- Emphasize that Multiplication and Division are completed left to
- right, and Addition and Subtraction are completed left to right. They
