Task goals
- Read a length from a ruler by identifying where the measured span starts and ends, even when it does not begin at zero.
- Measure to the nearest millimetre and express a ruler reading in either centimetres or millimetres.
- Read an angle from a protractor by choosing the scale that matches the zero line the angle is measured from.
- Tell whether a protractor reading is acute or obtuse, and use ruler and protractor readings inside a short applied problem.
