Task goals

Teaching guidance

  • Students must know: When calculating, it is best to use at least one
  • more significant figure than is required in the final solution, and round
  • at the end of the whole calculation.
  • WBHS Approach: Round to one additional place value than the
  • information in the question. For example, if you're doing Pythagoras'
  • Theory with 6cm and 7.5m, the answer should be 2dp!
